GRAFF.FUNK Writers Weekend 2023 - Recap

A weekend in Leipzig. Dedicated to Graffiti.

Our second Writers Weekend in September 2023 was again a great success. Besides best weather, good food, a special entertainment program by the Kammer Orchestra we´ve had invited some of our favorite artists to bring some quality to the Heizhaus Leipzig.

After a long time of preparation and a lot of support by the Heizhaus Leipzig, Spreadshop, Loopcolors Germany and the Sparkasse Leipzig everything was set up to paint the big skate hall from three sites. More than 500m² and more than 500 spraycans and 20 artists!

We wouldn't be Graff.Funk if it wasn't funky. So the Polyesterclub, John Reed and F.B. Illwig supported us musically. The mood was just awesome and the weekend went out kind of perfect. Some artists came along to fill some vacant spaces. And after the two days we now have a new painting on the buildings that blow not only our minds but also of all visitors that have the chance to see the art in real.
